Opera Festival
The Multipromo Cultural Association – created in 1997 – has a long-standing experience in the production of live events, shows and festivals.
From 1997 to 1999, we have served as Production Managers for one of the most prestigious opera events in the world: the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.
At the same time, from 1998 to 2003, we have managed and have been Art Directors of the oldest Italian festival: the “Estate Fiesolana”. We have played an active role in its development from a local “hospitality” festival and turning it into an opera festival entirely arranged by Multipromo. Specifically, we took care of the organization in general, the stage preparation, as well as creating an original and celebrated orchestra, a choir and a children choir.
Since 1998, we have been awarded public recognition and funding by the Ministry for Culture. Beginning in the summer of 2003, Multipromo has begun a productive cooperation with the well-known Taormina Arte, which has selected Multipromo’s productions to give new impulse to its festival, as well as to once again recognize opera’s original central role.
Since 2004, it has directed Opera Festival, the lyrical festival of Tuscany, with performances in many different cities within the Region: in Florence, at the Boboli Gardens at the Pitti Palace; in Pistoia, in the Duomo Square; in Fiesole, at the Roman Theater; in Pietrasanta, in the Duomo Square; in Barberino del Mugello, at Bilancino Lake and at the Medici Villa of Cafaggiolo.
It is actively involved in the production of lyrical operas, prose and concerts of different genres. The lyrical and symphony productions arranged by Multipromo have been Carmne by Bizet; Aida, Rigoletto and La Traviata by Verdi; La Boheme, Turandot and Tosca by Puccini, Symphony n.9 by Beethoven, Requiem Messa by Verdi, Carmina Burana by Orff, the Four Seasons by Vivaldi, ecc.
